The Mathematical Markup Language (MathML) is an XML application for describing math notations, where XML stands for Extensible Markup Language. The XML-MathML format enables math to be processed on the web. The initiative of development and copyright on MathML belongs to the World Wide Web Consortium (Copyright © 1998-2003 W3C® (MIT, ERCIM, Keio), All Rights Reserved.
