XML-MathML

The Mathematical Markup Language (MathML) is an XML application for describing math notations, where XML stands for Extensible Markup Language. The XML-MathML format enables math to be processed on the web. The MathML expressions on these pages should render properly in popular web browsers. Currently, W3C recommends the following browsers that will show the MathML pages correctly:

platform Windows:

• Internet Explorer 5.5+ with either MathPlayer or Techexplorer plug-ins
• Netscape 7.0+
• Mozilla 0.9.9+

platform Unix/Linux:

• Netscape 7.0+
• Mozilla 0.9.9+

platform Macintosh:

• Mozilla 0.9.9+
